Discover Beef-A-Roo: A Delicious Legacy and a Modern Franchise Opportunity
Since 1967, Beef-A-Roo has been a beloved staple in Rockford, Illinois, winning hearts with its signature roast beef sandwiches and commitment to high-quality, made-to-order meals. Founded by a passionate husband-and-wife team, our family-owned roots and dedication to community quickly turned Beef-A-Roo into a local favorite—and now, a growing national brand.
What makes Beef-A-Roo special? It’s our playful personality, serious love of great food, and unwavering focus on family, teamwork, and community values. While our name reflects a fun, spirited vibe, we’re deeply committed to excellence—especially when it comes to our legendary cheese fries.
Today, Beef-A-Roo is a modern, innovative fast-casual restaurant franchise, offering a fresh and affordable menu crafted with care. Our brand blends nostalgic charm with cutting-edge systems, delivering an exceptional dining experience while staying true to our core values of quality, consistency, and community impact.
In 2020, the original owners retired, entrusting Beef-A-Roo to a private equity group that partnered with NEXT Brands to bring our proven concept to franchise partners nationwide. Over the next 18 months, our team preserved the successful systems, secured proprietary rights to nearly 80% of the menu, and built a scalable model ready for national growth.
We’re proud of our legacy—and even prouder of how we serve our communities. From school lunch programs and church partnerships to seasonal discounts for weather-impacted neighborhoods, Beef-A-Roo gives back in meaningful ways.
As we expand, we’re looking for like-minded franchisees who value quality, crave innovation, and want to make a positive difference. With a rich history, a future-focused approach, and strong brand support, Beef-A-Roo is more than just a franchise—it’s a family.
