Role of the owner:
Successful Art of Drawers owners will spend a majority of their time on 2 things:
1. Coaching and building their team. Franchisees need to focus on building a small team of 1099 designers (typically 4-6 designers fully ramped). These are the sales people in the process that do in-home consultations. Franchisees will run design appointments as well, especially early on.
2. Networking in the community. Franchisees will work homeshows and local events from time to time, but they will also need to get out in the community and create referral partnerships with realtors, home-builders, countertop companies, etc. The ability to get out and source some of their own leads is key.
